If you want to win public sector contracts in 2025, there are some important things you need to have ready. Here’s a simple guide:
You need a plan to show how you’re reducing carbon emissions. You can get a free copy from our website, and we can help you fill it out for a small fee. Check out our Green Response portfolio for more info.
You need Cyber Essentials certification to show you’re protecting your data. If you handle a lot of data, Cyber Essentials PLUS is better. If you process data, think about getting ISO27001 certification.
If your company makes over £36 million, you need a full Modern Slavery Policy and copies of your last audit, just in case someone asks for them.
Most companies already have a GDPR and Data Retention Policy, but you also need a short 250-word statement about it.
Is This Everything?
No, this isn’t a complete list, and you might not need all of these for every tender. But these are in line with the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) guidelines and the latest Procurement Act. If public sector buyers follow CCS guidelines, you should have these ready.
What If You Don’t Have Them?
You can write these documents while you’re working on your bid. You won’t lose points for having newly created documents.
