How to answer a question when writing a bid response

3rd February 2025
Bid Writing & Tender Management

The goal is to clearly respond to each requirement, demonstrate your knowledge and experience, and provide evidence of your claims through client references. There is a simple and easy to follow structure when writing responses to bid questions.

  1. Initial Question: Start with the question or requirement from the tender document. It’s really important to specifically say that you can complete all of the elements within the specification.
  2. Statement of Compliance: Provide a statement about how your company complies with the requirement. This could include details about your company’s operations, project delivery methods, ISO compliance, etc.
  3. Demonstration of Compliance: Give an example of a project or work you’ve done that demonstrates your compliance with the requirement.
  4. Client Reference: Where possible, include a reference from a client that validates your claims. This could be a testimonial or a statement about a specific project you’ve completed for them.

This approach helps to build a compelling and persuasive tender response.
