At Tender Response, we understand that navigating new government systems can be daunting, especially when they directly impact your ability to bid for public sector contracts. With the introduction of the GOV.UK One Login, many suppliers are unsure how to access critical information like their PPON or generate a Share Code. That’s why we’ve created this practical guide, to help you stay compliant, connected, and confident in your procurement journey. We’ve even got a hot link straight through to Cabinet Office to get you started on your journey.
Your PPON is a unique reference number assigned to your organisation when you register on a public procurement portal. It helps buyers and procurement systems identify your business across tenders and frameworks.
You’ll typically need your PPON when:
– Completing supplier registration forms
– Responding to tenders on platforms like Jaggaer, Atamis, or Find a Tender
– Sharing your organisation’s details with buyers or partners
The location of your PPON depends on which procurement portal you’re using. Here’s how to find it on the most common platforms:
– Log in to your supplier account
– Go to “My Organisation” or “Supplier Profile”
– Look for a field labelled “Organisation ID” or “PPON”
– Sign in to your Atamis supplier portal
– Navigate to your Organisation Details
– Your PPON may appear as “Supplier ID” or “Organisation Reference”
These platforms don’t assign a PPON directly. Instead, check the procurement portal (e.g. Jaggaer or Atamis) linked to the tender you’re responding to.
Then it’s likely that you’re not registered on the base platform yet.
If you’re stuck or unsure where to begin, we’re here to help.
Book a free 15-minute support call with one of our bid consultants. We’ll help you locate your PPON, update your supplier profile, and ensure you’re ready to bid with confidence.

The public sector evaluation process frequently eliminates suppliers through preventable minor errors instead of their technical proposal content. The following section presents three typical mistakes which frequently occur in tender submissions together with methods to […]
For SMEs bidding into the public sector, success often hinges on one thing: the quality of your written responses. While pricing matters, most public contracts are awarded based on best value — and that means achieving a strong score in the quality section of your tender. Crafting a high-scoring response isn’t about creative writing or […]
